Speech and Drama explores the foundations of voice and acting. Your child will develop an understanding of how to most effectively use their voice to prepare for performance and public speaking. An added bonus is the love they will develop for literature through presenting poetry, prose and character sketches. They will know how to interpret text and bring it to life!
Through mime and improvisation, students also develop physical awareness and discover the importance of movement, gesture, and facial expression.

Speech and Drama, however, explores the foundations of voice and performance at a deeper level. This personalised pathway enables the student to benefit through focused coaching and a tailored program.
Students have the opportunity to prepare for Speech and Drama Grade Examinations through ASCA or Trinity College, London. The most suitable syllabus is considered depending on the needs and interests of each child, where focus can be directed towards Performance, Communication or Public Speaking.
Students are encouraged to enter Eisteddfods throughout the year. This is a wonderful environment for young people to build confidence, develop stagecraft and showcase their talent!
