ABOUT TANYA

Tanya Taylor is a highly experienced Speech and Drama educator who inspires children to become confident communicators, engaging presenters and expressive performers. She teaches from her private studio in Sydney's Hills District and is the Junior School Production Director and Drama Tutor at Abbotsleigh School for Girls in Wahroonga, NSW.

With a career spanning professional theatre, performing arts education and business management, Tanya brings a wealth of real-world experience to every lesson. Early in her career she toured in theatrical productions as both a vocalist and actress, developing a deep appreciation for the power of effective communication and performance.

Tanya studied Speech and Drama under respected mentor Judith Burgess, earning her Associate Teaching Diploma from Trinity College London (ATCL). She later completed the ASCA Diploma of Communication (Teaching Speech Communication), further strengthening her expertise in speech, communication and performance education.

Drawing on this extensive experience, Tanya helps students develop clear, confident communication through speech, drama and public speaking. Whether preparing for examinations, competitions, school presentations or theatrical performances, she equips each student with the skills to interpret a wide range of texts, connect authentically with an audience and perform with confidence.
