ONLINE PROGRAMS

The Australian Speech Communication Association (ASCA) Junior Group Communication Certificate (JGCC) provides primary-aged students with the opportunity to develop confident communication, public speaking, teamwork and presentation skills through a structured online examination pathway in small groups of up to six students.

Students enjoy the benefits of collaborative learning while building confidence as individual speakers and performers. Throughout the program, each student researches, prepares and presents their own work and is assessed on their individual performance within the group setting.

The examination includes:

• Group Project – Students research a shared theme, prepare and present an individual talk, then participate in a guided group discussion with the examiner and audience.
• Memorised Presentation – Each student performs a memorised poetry or drama selection connected to the group's theme, either individually or as part of the group.
• Reading Aloud – Each student delivers an expressive prepared reading from a different text related to the group's theme.

With a maximum of six students per group, every participant receives personalised guidance while benefiting from the encouragement, collaboration and shared learning that a small group provides.

• Weekly 45-minute live online lessons via Zoom with Tanya Taylor

• Fees payable per 10-week term 
• Progressive preparation for the ASCA Junior Group Communication Certificate 
• Examinations conducted at designated ASCA Open Days (typically June and December)
